The book I liked was the story of Jane Goodall's dog in the hospital who helped heal her patients with his compassion for people. In checking the jacket sleeve we found the book was based on a true story which fell under the guidelines of nonfiction. There are a lot of nonfiction books which can get students involved in reading and capture their interests while learning something new.
